Who are teams moving to 9 to pick if the Bears are dropping? QB? OT? one of the edges?
Assume Odunze is gone and McCarthy is available at #9. Raiders are offering #13, 44, and 148. Are you buying?
Depends if Alt is still on the board. If he is then no. If he isn't then yes since all the really good blue chip players are gone. Better to get more depth than overreach.

You don't feel any of the DE's are worth the 9 pick?

This is a weak defensive line class compared to other years. I'm sure one team might overreach for one. I think the Falcons. This years class is very offensive heavy.
I personally see 4 QBs going in the top 10. Vikings will reach. I see all in the top 4.
MHJ and Nabers going in between 6-7. Bowers going #5 (Harbaugh prefers TE's over WR's)
Falcons go Turner
Bears picking between Rome and Alt.
Jets pick whoever we didn't pick.
Honestly if Nabers is there at #7. I would be 100% ok with Poles trading up and getting him. Using the Panthers 2025 2nd rounder as a starting point. I like Rome but I feel Nabers will be a top 5 NFL WR. Rome might be top 10.

I don’t think it will go down that way. Can’t wait to see what happens.

It may not happen like that but I do believe there will be 9 offensive players taken in the top 10 and one team overreaching for a defensive player.
Tier 1 guys: Williams (Bears) MHJR (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons) Nabers (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons) Alt (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons) Rome (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons)
Tier 2 guys: Maye (Commanders) Daniels (Patriots) Bowers (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons) Olumuyiwa Fashanu (Chargers, Giants, Titans, Bears, and Falcons)
Tier 2.5: JJ Mccarthy(He's going top 10) (Vikings #4)
The only defensive player that can come close to this level of talent is Turner and even that is a bottom top 10 pick. He's no Anderson Jr or even Carter who were the blue chip prospects of 2023.
WalterFootball has edge class in 2024 as a B- for early rounds, C for mid to late. I rather we get a WR who would be the first WR off the board in other WR classes than overreach for a average edge rusher.
I rather we trade our 2nd rounder to a team who can't afford their pass rusher and go that route like we did with Sweat. We can afford to overpay on dline with a rookie QB and rookie WR under contract. Which WRs are starting to come the second highest paid position behind QB. Which is why its important to have a cheap option once Allen one year is up. Do we pay a 33 year old WR at that time 20+ million or get a comp pick in return and have Rome be our #2 going forward?

Ummmmm....not really.
All of them have concerns or elements that make you hesitate. Doesn't mean they won't end up being really good or that Poles won't take one there.
