Bears release JF video

Things are never as black-and-white as people want to believe.  Eberflus undoubtedly was a part of hiring his staff.  If he wasn't then the Bears are more dysfunctional than we've ever believed before.  Of course Poles would have input and even the last "say" on hiring coaches.  But (and I know you know this too) this wasn't something Warren and Poles came up with over a few beers together.  One other thing I don't think the meatballs understand.  Eberflus knows offense.  LOL.  It isn't like he game planned and called defenses for all those years without dead-bang knowing, intimately understanding every offense the NFL has.  The D coordinator HAS to know the offense well.  Things don't happen in a vacuum and I find it almost hilarious when people act like Eberflus knows nothing about an NFL defense.  Meatball stuff.

Just judging by his passing at OSU I have to believe his ceiling is a top-5 NFL quarterback... especially when you consider what he has shown as far as his running skills.  Like any QB he needs the coaching and players around him to reach his ceiling.  Not talking about "perfect" support.  I'm thinking the Bears will have the needed level of coach & players to do that this year.  I doubt that the Bears keep him,but if they did I believe Waldron would help him get that release time down like he has other QBs, including Geno.  That OSU deep ball game (lethal deep ball accuracy) is still there, and once the OL can provide him a pocket to work out of - that will return to what we have seen him do at OSU.  He needs a WR to compliment DJ (the new kid will benefit from that too... just as he will from a better OL).  

I have zero doubt about Fields' passing skills because I have watched him do the things he needs to do at the NFL level.  In fact I have more doubt about these 2024 draft QBs than I do about Fields ability to do these things at the highest level.  I have seen that with my own eyes.  

I figure the Bears will move on from Fields, and I do understand there are reasons why that may be the best option (money, reset the contract, and maybe another QB's skill set is a better fit for what Waldron wants to do here, and there are other things too).  So no worries if the Bears move on from Fields.  But just because the Bears do move on, I don't figure we have to believe we have seen Fields' ceiling and as some posters put it, he is "trash" as a player.  I will be hoping he does land on a great team and truly does ascend - this guy is not a Trubisky level guy.  The talent is there.  It just did not work out here... stuff happens... time to move on I guess.

If he is traded I hope he goes to a decent team. I wish him the best. As long as he is not in our NFCN division I'm fine with that.

I am a Bears fan more than a Fields fan. He could go to the Falcons and knock us out of the playoffs.  An NFC team would need to offer more than an AFC team.  Otherwise, do the AFC trade.
