KC has 6wr's, 2 are 6'2 or above and over 200 lbs. 1 of them had 1 year of 500 yards w/40+ catches. They aren't used in the passing game, Bellamy/White can fill that role; or a guy on a rookie deal.
I don't think they care to much about their WR's blocking downfield, b/c 3 of the 6 were under 6ft, and another was 6'1".
This isn't Fox's 3 yards and a cloud of dust, better make sure the Wr's are blockers more then pass catchers.
On the other had 2 of their 3 TE's are 6'5" or taller. The other is 6'3". So he does want size there, and they have that in Shaheen, Sims and Burton.
Again love Cam, I don't disagree w/anyone regarding his positive traits; I hope the Bears re sign him, just cannot figure how you spend that much on what is going to be the at best the 5th option in passing game.
KC2017 stats already broken down, 2016 similar, but 20 more completions on 40 more attempts(I'm not positive Nagy will give Trubs 540 attempts and I'm not sure Trubs hits at 67% either), which gavve the 5th and 6th options just over 30 rec's, for 450 and 230 yards. 6mil for 30 rec's and 450 yards(and no td's). If the Bears were to sign Cam for 6mil, and the roles are reversed and Gabriel becomes the 5th option(doubtfull considering his speed which is something Nagy wants) then he would also have been to much money. Cam and Gabriel w/the same money on the team, one isn't going to earn his pay.
You see a similar story in Philly btw, but it's the first 3 targets, then the 4th and the rest are the 20-30's. Just for fun, checked the Falcons, again same thing as Philly checked both over the last 2 years.
Love Cam, and if Gabriel wasn't 5.5mil this year and 6.5 the next 2 I'd be even for him even 6mil, but 6mil for the 5th target is a lot of money for not a lot of production. It will be interesting to see what Pace does b/c he has 25-30 mil approx wrapped up in Arob/TGab/TreBurt/White this year. If he does get Cam back, it will be an embarassment of riches for the OC and Trubs though.
