Cam...I go back to the College QB like dachuckster above mentioned as I have in another thread as well.
I like the option of a trick play or two as well as above mentioned IQ. Good thinking there dachuckster
I think it's a valid point also, but again at 6mil I'm not sure I want either. I'll take a rookie from the 2nd through 4th to play the slot or #2 depending on where Taylor lines up and save 3-5+ mil.

We already have a running back, punter, and now a tight end who can throw TD passes. You’re just getting greedy. 😜
That is the genius if the Nagy "All-Passing" team. Everyone on the team, either offense or defense has to be able to throw the ball. Of course, he had to let Glennon go for obvious reasons.
I hear talk of Colts and Meredith? Did they actually offer him a contract? I like Meredith on a 1-year deal. We don't know if he is even worth a long-term contract yet. If he plays well this year, ok. If the Colts offer him a high money multi-year contract with no way out after a year, let him go. As long as we can avoid a cap hit if he doesn't work out, ok. I find it crazy any team would offer him a long-term deal right now.

If all he's getting is a one year deal then if he's smart he should push the one year deal the guy the Colts let go, Moncrief, got from JAX.....$9.6 mil gtd. Obviously that's why the Colts let him go so they won't make an offer like that to Meredith.
We may have to compete with a one year offer for $4-$6 mil or maybe they offer two with more guaranteed. Anyway you slice it Pace and Meredith will have an offer that sets his MV and Pace can match it if he chooses. Any deal we cut would probably have an out after year two at the latest so I'm not worried.
I'd rather pay the freight to bring Cam back than go into 2018 with White or a rookie as our #2 WR.

Why not just draft a WR then do either? Plenty of good WR's that could handle the #2 role in the 2nd-4th. It's the elephant in the room no one seems to wan to talk about.

cuz the guys in the draft that could handle the #2 roles are in reality the guys in the draft that the GM BELIEVES can handle the #2 role. Cam has known production, is perceived to be getting better and as an ex QB understands the intricacies of the passing game. All of those things have value.

Why waste a pick when we have more then enough cap space to bring Cam back?
