Tell me how that's working out in Oak now that they are on their 2nd and 3rd qb. Den is one of the few teams to win a SB and not make it to the playoffs the year after. Oak is going to be one and done after dominating all year.
Meanwhile, Pats, GB, NY, Pitt, Sea are in the playoffs AGAIN. it seems they are always in the playoffs; or at least in the the running for the playoffs b/c they have the QB position set; and that tends to mean the HC and GM are set and it all allows for some consistency. Get the QB right and you can center on building the OL/DL/LB's/DB's etc etc etc for the next 10-15 years.
That's who teams like GB/NE/Pitt have done it and done it consistently year after year since the mid 2000's.
When you have QBs like Rodgers, Brady & Big Ben you are always a competitive team. You may not win a SB. You may have off years too. But you are always a pretty good team. How many times over the years have we seen games where those QB's just put the team on their shoulders and carry it to a win? Last night I so wanted Green Bay to get beat, but I just shook my head and watched a "master" at work when Aaron Rodgers just took over the game. I don't think GB has a great team this season. I don't. But with AR they "become" a great team. The guy was utterly amazing last night. Smart. A leader. Incredibly elusive under pressure. A winner.
