Even though Halas himself helped pick Ditka, they have strayed from the kind of people Halas would hire. Halas could handle a fiery coach. These guys are averse to confrontation or to someone working for them that has a stronger personality than they can handle

I'd be finding and acquiring the best - pay them - and let them do their thing. Caleb can still be salvaged if they bring competent people here. If they fail (again) to get competent people, then the Caleb Williams era will end just like the previous failed starting QB1s have. It's how we roll here in Chicago. Fail.

Yeah, I am glad we didn't hire Harbaugh.

All that "personality" would have been to much to handle. I much prefer quiet losers.

I'm trying to look forward now. Can't change the past. But there is an opportunity to fix this if they can get the coach hires right THIS time. I just want to see the team get fixed.
