Yet another pile on article
A line that hit home for me since it is exactly how I feel. That is even the same term I used to describe Flus
"The Bears could have turned the page on a losing regime before the season and given Williams an offense-leaning head coach to begin his pro career. Instead, they stuck with a milquetoast incumbent with a special ability to lose winnable games. If they couldn’t execute a seemingly obvious decision last year, why should fans trust them to get their next head coach right?"
Yes...the game was all his fault...the QB didn't miss wide open receivers or failed to see wide open receivers. That didn't happen. There were no screw ups on assignments...players played a perfect game.
Whats it like to live in a world thats either black or white?
Kinda sad, you think Shane, should be excused for his performance. His job is to make players play great...
Where in there did I excuse his performance? You are trying to assign blame to one person when the issue is with MULTIPLE people, and Shane is a part of that group. But Shane didn't miss wide open receivers. Shane didn't not see wide open receivers. Shane didn't drop passes. Shane didn't miss blocks. Could Shane have called better plays? Sure. But unless he has some God like powers, he can't control any of the aforementioned things.
Slim for sure. I’d still would fire Flus and Waldron mid season as the culture is probably toxic and needs to be gone.
I would too, but also keeping in mind that it might only flatten the trajectory of the season. IE might stay at .500 as opposed ending up under .500. Nothing good comes out of a midseason coaching change.
My concern is what’s this doing to Caleb. This can’t be good for his long term development both physically and mentally.

And we waste a year of his rookie contract on top of it all. Then we're making him learn yet another offense with a new O coaching staff. Meatballs will say that it is not a big deal. But why not maximize the chances the guy finally breaks the Chicago QB curse here. I'd be putting the best OC, HC & OL in place in 2025. If the Bears fail (again) with this QB1 - then I'm giving up on the franchise. I'll pick one to be a fan of that has a clue.

That reads to me as the cheapest people with a "no fire in the belly" personality
Even though Halas himself helped pick Ditka, they have strayed from the kind of people Halas would hire. Halas could handle a fiery coach. These guys are averse to confrontation or to someone working for them that has a stronger personality than they can handle
