I never said he's been impressive or that he hasn't made dumb calls. I merely stated something factual...that once Geno got Shane he vastly improved his play. The reasons for that could be many, and what percentage Shane's role in it was can be debated...but it certainly wasn't magic as MOTM would like to believe.

Remember all the angst about what do the Bears do when Waldron is hired away and Flus has to bring in a new OC for Williams' second season?....ah...those were the days!

Two wins going to the division games will make us all feel better....until LaFluer puts 40 up on the defense with that backup QB, and Flus says"We decided to not pressure him, play our nickel DEF on every play, and just trust our guys to make plays, we just have to execute better."

It's just so frustrating to not see growth in the coaching staff. I don't care that much about the public statements, no one in the building cares. I doubt the players even care as much as we think they do. We all experts in reading between the lines and we're wrong most of the time.

But, man, show some coaching growth Flus!!!!

you mock, but thats literally all he changed! You know at some point the Bears will give up a critical 4th-16 late in the 4th with a +/- 2 point differential. And it will be some play where he rushes 3, drops 8 guys into coverage and Love/Darnald/Goff will hit a wide open WR 25 yards down field who is being trailed by Noah Sewell after having 9 seconds in the pocket--and Sweat won't even have been on the field.

Reporter: Can you tell us about the playcall on the 4th down play they converted?
Flus: Yeah, I'll need to watch the tape, we had a plan we thought was good, thought they rushed into that play and we didn't try to substitute. Just need to execute better.
Reporter: So Sewell wasn't specific to the call?
Flus: Yeah...no, we thought the play before could be a draw and wanted a run stopper on the field and with Edwards and Edmunds ...the substitution pattern wasn't optimal....just need to execute better.
Reporter: In hindsight would a TO....
Flus: No, we were comfortable with the guys out there, wanted the OFF to be uncomfortable and maybe rush...I'll have to check the film but....just need to execute better.
