Well, my take is that it was a combination of horrible play calling, bad OL protection, playing Swift, and the missed FG and PAT.
Now, an honorary game ball goes to Caleb Williams. He is getting better. Let's hope he continues the momentum he has from this game to the rest of the season.
I say Williams. 2 maybe 3 of the sacks were on him. He sailed a few long balls again. His 3 turnovers were the difference in the game. 52 attempt, a 50 yard gift on Hail Mary, and 2 minute drill stat padding at the end masks an otherwise poor performance IMO.
And I felt like it was a timing thing that was off. Most of the time Caleb has between 2 and 3 seconds to have the ball in the air to the spot the WR is supposed to be. We are watching it all on TV and seeing an open guy and Caleb is evading D guys (he rarely has a pocket) and the WR has to be where he is supposed to be - and when he is supposed to be there. Timing is everything.
Some of this is on Caleb and some on the WR - and I saw our WRs getting held today and no flags tossed. That screws up the play too. The poor pass protection is screwing everything up.

Got to switch it up to a Midwest coast offense. 1 1/2 step dropbacks and FIRRREEEE!

Agreed JABF. Odunze's arm was held by the CB on the play which led to the INT.

and on the TD he missed his helmet was grabbed and spun around
Ryan Poles needs to be an option on that list. Tired of watching a crap OL get owned on game days. Mark my words. Caleb Williams will be on IR by the bye week. Maybe if he's lucky he'll get to the real tough part of the schedule after the bye - and get IR'd. It's coming. He's taking some tough hits and abuse these 3 games.
No blocking. No running (Swift blows chunks). Poles let Monty walk and brought in Swift. Pitiful play calling (Waldron just isn't looking good so far... that's on Poles too).
Poles "talks" a good story with the OL but his actions don't measure up with his talk. Other than Wright, the OL has been "built" with mediocre to downright bad players. Shameful. Just shameful.
I never was impressed with Swift when he was a Lion. He was hyped but so easily tackled. I saw none of Swift with the Eagles so I thought he'd improved with all the hype of his signing in the off-season. It is unbelievable to think Bears didnt pay Monty only to pay Swift. WTF?!

I'm thinking he's only swift with grabbing a paycheck, like NDavis.
