Im cool with Rome tbh. But we def couldve invested Allen $$ in one (even two with our cap) top OL free agent. Especially as we already have quality vet in Moore.

That play calling inside the 5 before the half killed them.

While it can't be argued that the OL is the problem with this team I do think that the Poles critiques are going a bit too far.

We all lived through it so we all know that Poles didn't have anything to go off of when he took over this team. I don't think I have to relist everything again with this group given how long we've all been fans.

The Trade Down is going down in history as the greatest trade in the history of football.

Where Poles can be faulted, and I think this is fair, is building a team backwards.

I totally agree that a football team should be built from the ball outwards. That is what I have believed for years.

But that isn't how the real world works. You can only draft, sign and trade for the resources that are available to acquire.

If Poles fixes the OL in 2025 then hey, he is my best bud again.  But he needs to do more than "talk" about the offensive line.  The Wright pick was a good move.  The other 4 positions are at varying degrees of being shaky.  Brax looks pretty bad this year.  Jenkins does not look as good as he has in the past... don't know what's up with that.  Davis, well he got benched.  Shelton is not a good center... there is a reason why the Rams moved on from him.  I think the Bears need to build around Wright now.  I don't really care "how" they do it.  Just get this thing fixed.  And I have to believe there will be enough heat on Poles to finally invest the needed resources into fixing the OL.
