Hard to believe we have 3 legit WR’s to throw to when we’ve seldom have had 1.
I know. It's like the Chicago Bears have finally embraced the forward-pass concept. Next they'll be liking the change from the leather-helmets. LOL. Kudos to Warren/Poles/Eberflus.
You don't have to go sideways? You can pass it forward? To a team mate?
Odunze contested catch rate will make him very fun to watch. I do think Nabers has the highest ceiling of this draft compared to the rest. I'm just super happy we got a QB/WR combo.
Williams has 1 top 10 WR to throw too, 1 top 15 WR to throw too, and now Odunze to throw too. His development should be great.
Odunze doesn't have to go all out. He has Allen and Moore to learn from. His development should be great.
Now the question is. Do we franchise tag Allen next year to allow Odunze and Williams to grow or do we have Odunze take his place?
I keep hoping the Bears can find a way to extend Allen for 2 more seasons. His style of play at WR will be solid until then. That would give Caleb his first three seasons with familiar guys who all have great talent. Maybe Allen would work with the Bears and they can find a way to keep him here without a crazy expensive contract. The Bears may be an attractive place for KA to stay with - with Caleb and this offense, as it is now after the draft, he might feel he has a shot at a super bowl here.
I think it does not matter if they sign Keenan Allen to a "Team friendly" two year deal. If he is producing at a high level, the Bears can go ahead and sign him for good money. They have a QB on a rookie deal. They can splurge on good players.
They just need to make sure they don't throw good money after an aging player with diminishing skills.

I didn't think of that, but it's a great point. Having your franchise QB on a rookie deal opens up stuff like this.
