With the way these quarterbacks are ascending in this draft (with a small army of QB hungry teams this year) I'm feeling fairly confident now that one of the "Big 3" wide receivers will be there for us at #9. Teams are going to trade up to get one of these top QBs in a draft class that seems to be a very very special year for quarterbacks. Poles (hopefully) will get us a great WR at #9.
The stuff I am seeing is saying 4 QBs and MHJ are the first 5 picks. Of course that’s just people’s opinion
I think nearly everyone here wants Odunze at #9 if possible. The only interesting question is what to do if he’s gone before #9.
Just speaking for myself, I'd like to get another blue (impact player). Problem is you have no guarantees anyone is going to be an impact player. That's why GMs trade down and try to get more bites of the apple.
I'm in the minority, but I really like Bowers and trading down to get him and more picks would be fine with me. A DE is sorely needed. so it a DT. But if not a top WR, then I would have to say DE. We have a functional DT. We now (hopefully) have a functional C. We don't have a good second DE. That would be my pick
Would you take Alt at 9 before one of the 3 WR’s and/or DE?

Personally, I would not. That is just based on the fact that all three are hard to get positions and the other two have more need IMO. We do have two #1 WRs but one is probably gone next year, so that creates a need for next year. DE is a current need. Those two IMO are more of a priority that Alt since I think we have a decent solution at LT. It comes down to upgrade vs need and I'd go with need first

I'd be very surprised if it isnt a WR LT or DE. Maybe Poles goes MHJ and reaches for Penix. :^)
If these guys were all equal, they would be randomly distributed in the draft. I’m not spending #9 pick ona WR that NO mock draft has going before second or third round. That is a stupid waste of the pick just to get a WR at any cost.
If you're reading mocks with Brian Thomas Jr going in the second or third round that explains a lot.

I think I said #6 to #8 drafted at #9. Thomas will go first round but not #9.
We really do need a WR. I see Allen as a 2 year rental at most.
Once you get down to #6-#8, there isn’t a lot of difference, and you can get one in 3rd round. Once you get past the top-5, I’d rather have JPJ or Newton.
What were you drinking when you said this? Are you really telling me Rome Odunze is a 3rd rounder in value? Dude would be the #1 WR in any other class. It just so happens two players who are better than him are in this class.
Odunze will probably be there at #9, but Poles may go DE anyway. That would not surprise me at all.
Although we need to support CWill - or whoever - and I understand that, we can't completely ignore the defense either. So yes, DE at #9 wouldn't surprise me either. But I'm still hoping for another stud WR. Allen is not a long-term dude here.
Defense finish top 5 at the end of the year. We can ignore it. We're paying top money to players on that side of the field. Can we finally support the offense and a rookie QB just this one time? Poles focused on defense the past 2 years. Focus on offense this time.

WR, OT, DE.
In that order.
You have to support Williams at all cost. We're paying top money for our defensive guys. If we didn't have faith in them. Why are we paying them this money?
