How are you feeling overall about the 2024 Bears?

This is kind of where I have evolved to also, The only issue with this is we don't have many picks in this draft and we miss on getting a pick for Fields. In the end though, I think it is a sound strategy. I am also betting we won't do it.

Actually, I don't see it that way. It gives him a chance to show his stuff on a better team (I hope), and raise his value.

I'm not saying I'm right about this.  But I can't help but feel like this is a bit different situation.  Favre and Rodgers were still playing at a Hall of Fame level and the new kid wasn't (in either situation there) a #1 overall pick of the entire NFL draft and being called a generational NFL talent like the league hasn't seen in a generation or more.  With all due respect to Jordan Love, this present situation seems different to me.  I also think it would cause all kinds of problems (unnecessary problems) with this young rebuilding team.  I'd do the clean break here with Fields if in fact they want to draft Caleb Williams.  Don't do the "death march" thing with everyone watching Fields march to the gallows here.  It just seems to be rubbing salt into the wounds if the Bears do that - and it could unnecessarily cause problems with this young locker room - why do that?  It doesn't make sense to me.  If you're gonna move on.  Move on.  Give Fields a fresh start on a new team this year.  Let the guy have some dignity.  After what has been done to the kid here in Chicago, I feel he deserves that.  

I see it more like bearsinhouston. Respect your opinion but if Fields balls out with new coaches it improves his future as well. I see it more win-win. Williams learns, Fields has chance to show coaching hurt him. Fields value goes up and everyone is a happy camper.
