We're talking about grown men here. Coaches pull this sort of crap all the time with players. They come up to them screaming like maniacs and throwing headsets and anything else they can get a hold of, and at times bump them. Nobody bats an eye. Bill Parcells had LOTS of different rules for LT. Again...these are professionals...not high school kids.

He will get the OL fixed this year.  Poles played as an offensive linemen.  He played offensive tackle for Boston College from 2003–2007. He was a two-year starter at left guard, protecting quarterback Matt Ryan.  He knows how important the OL is to success.  He will get it done this year between the draft and FA.  If by chance they keep Fields they should be able to get an elite center and also an elite G in the draft alone... along with drafting Marvin Harrison Jr.  If they move on from Fields they can still get the OL fixed but there won't be MHJ here.  

I saw that.  They are talking about getting a C in FA.  But it looks pretty thin to me in FA this year.  According to Spotrac (LINK), they have Kelce as the #1 FA, but no way the Bears are going to get him.  I'd love it if they could.  The other top-5 include Whitehair & Lucas Patrick.  There is Connor Williams, but he had a late in the season ACL and won't be much help this season.  Maybe late in the season, like December-ish he'll be mostly back to form.  So he is no help for most of the year.  Andre James will be re-signed by LV, and he was an undrafted guy.  The only other guy in the top-6 is undrafted OL center Aaron Brewer who ranks lower than Whitehair and just one spot ahead of Lucas Patrick.  

I think the Bears would make a serious mistake not taking one of the top-3 or 4 centers in this draft.
