Right. Whether it’s Fields or Williams, I just want a Super Bowl ready team by 2025.  There’s a new article in The Athletic today promoting Williams. It really contrasts with Warren’s Fields endorsement.  The have almost nothing good to say about Fields.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Fields follows Trubisky to Pittsburg?

I thought about how ironic that would be too, if Fields followed Trubs to Pittsburgh.  And I take Kevin Williams' comment with a grain of salt.  If they are planning on trading Fields it makes sense to talk well of him.  

The 49ers have 7 all pro players on their team and still lost to Mahomes. A QB who's only good weapon going into the season was Kelce. That's it... They lead the league in drop passes this year.



We just saw what happens when you put an average QB behind a super team. They still lose to elite QB's. That's assuming Fields even gets up to a Tier 2 QB. Purdy looks like a true Tier 2 QB.

Football is a team sport but at the end of the day. There is a reason why teams give up 1-3 first round picks plus more to get a QB. 

The chiefs dynasty wouldn't be a thing without Mahomes. They tried it with Alex Smith and many consider Andy Reid a choke artist in the playoffs. Now he's consider an all time great because of one man. Patrick Mahomes. Bill Belichick legacy is built off Tom Brady. We saw what happen when he left. Brady won a Super Bowl while Bill got worse each year. 

That’s all wonderful if Williams is Mahomes 2.0.  That’s far from guaranteed.   I could be wrong, too, about Fields and my plan.  I really don’t care which route Poles takes, if we’re Super Bowl ready by 2025. Both could work. Both could fail.
