I just don't see how he wouldn't be. You have two top 10 picks. You still have Fields who could be another Kaep. You have 62 million in cap space. So much change can happen the moment he steps in our door. change the face of the franchise with a new QB? Build a super team with two top 10 picks + 62 million a year in cap space.

I think he would be interested under the right conditions, but I don't think those conditions will happen. I believe he would want more control over player selection that Poles would give him and I think the owners like a "gentleman" type personality. More of an exec style than an emotional coach style. Last emotional style coach we had IMO was Ditka and he ended up getting canned. IMHO those issues are working against him
It sounds like he is probably behind this information getting out. Maybe he doesn't like the fact that the McCaskey's still control the football operations here and he wouldn't want to stake his future on this franchise under those conditions. Frankly, I can understand him feeling that way. His hands would be tied. Harbaugh does not HAVE to accept any NFL coaching gig. He can be pretty selective and apparently does not want any part of the Chicago Bears.

No idea whether this info has any validity or not.
If true, it's a damning indictment of the reputation for ineptitude that George and Teddy have built over the years. A talented, proven, and highly successful coach at both the NCAA and NFL levels wants nothing to do with you. Speaks volumes, doesn't it?

I'll believe it when he publicly says he doesn't want the job.
I'm pretty sure that he'd say yes as long as the money and the responsibilities are right. And I guarantee you that after Jim wins the national championship tonight, he'll get a call from Warren before he gets back to his hotel room.

Sorry for your mediocrity.
I noticed it was your word of the day yesterday so I thought you would appreciate my attempt to use it for ya.
On a side note. Hopefully he is brash enough to actually say it out loud why he would not want the Bears job AND the reasoning is the meddling of ownership. But I guess you can't say that out loud until you get a HC job lol.
