What other GMs are saying about Bears 2024 options.

This is behind a paywall, at least I thinks so.  But I'll post a snippet here.  Really, while us fans are so used to being negative fearing the worst (for good reason, because the Bears will do that to 'ya) it sure looks like the Bears franchise is in a good place right now.  Maybe the best position since the Jim Finks era where he built much of the 1985 Chicago Bears team.  I'll share something with you... I had a hard time truly believing the Bears were legit in those years leading up to 1985 - yes, as crazy as it sounds, truth is I was still doubting after 1984 when the Bears were an ascending team.  I watched decades of failure prior to that and it just killed my positivity.  I think there may be some parallels now - not the team but in the way us fans are pretty beaten down with so many disappointments.  

But a lot of NFL people (people who really know football for the most part) believe the Bears are in an incredibly good place right now no matter what path they choose to take with Fields.  Both paths look mighty promising to them.

My biggest concern with Fields is. He's not a great qb. He's a running qb who his horrible in the 4th quarter. He's at best at game managing qb. He can't make those special game changing plays like Mahomes can. 

Not having a single 4000 yard season in the modern NFL doesn't look good. Love who has lesser talent will get it against us. What if Williams is a top 10 QB in the NFL? We have two top 10 picks. We can get a good WR and the #1 QB in this draft.
