R2P34 Bears (via Patriots, projected trade): Graham Barton, OG/C, Duke
Also:
R3P79 from the Saints plus ‘25 NE 1st and ‘25 Denver 3rd.
So an extra 2nd and third this year plus 1st and 3rd next year when they already have Carolina’s 2nd, giving them 2 first-rounders, 2 second-rounders and 2 third-rounders in 2025.

I brought up the NE trade yesterday as that's the dream scenario for me. The Cards upsetting Philly helped us a ton.
That trade is actually an overpay by NE in terms of chart value. I'd be happy to toss them back a 4th or swap down other picks to make it happen. Two reasons:
A) We could really use a 2nd in this draft to shore up the iOL
B) I really want an extra 1st next year in case keeping Fields doesn't work out. This would give us 2-1sts & 2-2nds in 2025 should a QB reboot be necessary.

Interesting that Latu and Newton go back-to-back and both are still available at #14. That may not be realistic, though.

If both are available to us I hope we go with Newton.

Do we need another DT though? We just drafted 2 last year
Eberflus calls 3-tech the “engine” of his defense. Jones, Dexter, Pickens were his first attempts to find his engine. Newton would be that guy. He is the best interior lineman in this draft. As an Illini fan, I’ve been watching him all year. He’s the real deal.
