What should happen if Fields lights it up these 7 games?

That's pretty much how I see it too, especially that part of not over reacting.  I'm not judging the entire body of work until we are at the end of the season.  It shouldn't boil down to stats alone.  It should be fairly obvious, at the end of this season, what we have in Fields after 3 years of QB1 play.  I am cautiously optimistic at this point though.  

Fields needs to play loose and let the chips fall where they may.

... seems like it has been forever since Fields has played. And even seems long since we've seen the Bears play. I'm chomping at the bit for this upcoming Sunday test with the Lions. LOL, it's not just davidl - I'm curious too.  I hope Fields doesn't come out too tight, but rather comes out relaxed and just enjoys a good game.  I wonder how much rust he'll have after all this time off?  It may take a series or two to knock off the rust.  

1.  The OL can help by just not having the stupid penalties.  That alone will make it easier on Fields.
2.  The WRs can help by not dropping balls - and fighting contested balls so no ints.
3.  The RBs can help by having a rock-solid day running the ball.
4.  Getsy can help by having a game plan and play calling that focuses on Fields' strengths.

It will take this kind of team effort to win against the Lions.  Team effort.  Everyone executing at a high-level.  

That is how the Bears can win.  Play ball control with strong running game supported by high percentage passes on third down. That’s why I wanted JSN, but Moore can do it, too.  This offensive line has road graders, and we have good runners behind them.  The nonsensical shit does get frustrating!
