What should happen if Fields lights it up these 7 games?

The best possible thing, the Bears give him his 5th year option and trade back one of their top picks for more and get a WR and DE/DL. Then a C and G in the next few rounds.

Those are EXCELLENT points there.  The Bears entered this season with 30 new/young players on the roster for 2023.  Thirty.  They had pretty much a different set of players on the Oline every single game to begin the season.  Certainly the players and the coaches made a lot of mistakes and it looked butt-ugly in those early games.  And yet the team has improved.  If (and it's a big if), if we see Fields and this offense stacking good performances, then we should be giving credit where credit is due.  It will mean that, yes, the massive rebuilding effort is beginning to come together with this very young/new team.  New coaches as well as new players.  As far as who the recent good performances were against, well, the players don't get to choose the opponents on game days.  You play the team in front of you.  And any NFL team is a challenge.  There are no "easy games" in the NFL.  Just ask the teams like the Chiefs, Bills Eagles, Detroit and Dolphins who have lost to lessor teams this year.  Yeah, no easy wins.  Give credit where credit is due when the Bears do get a win this year with a full-blown (massive) rebuild in progress.  I am so very curious to watch these final 7 games.  I am really really really trying to reserve my judgement until this season is in the books.  LOL, though, because the meatball in me soooooooooooo wants to over-react to everything this season.  And gotta admit that meatball thing has kicked in a lot this year :-)

And this is why I am so curious to watch these next 7 games.  Can Fields do better, or not?  I'm fine if he gets a sack here-and-there when there is a jailbreak blitz.  Just don't have so many needless sacks holding onto the ball forever.
