Went Flus, Getsy and the entire defense. Flus outclassed again, he also is responsible for the D and it blew chunks. Getsy moves away from what worked last week part of which is the D giving up points consistently and he just doesn’t have the ability to make the right moves.
I’m so sick and tired of this organization being embarrassed on national television it’s disgusting. When will ownership step in and say “enough”?!?

I know this is tired but Flush needs to STFU w/ these lame interview & presser replies. You SUCK as does your execution!! FULL STOP!!!
E-Flus. Buck stops with him. It was the exact same defense we have seen played all year, with the exception of a few LB blitzes to cause pressure. Pick almost any passing play and you'll see the coverage 6-8 yards off the ball and LBs bailing out of the center flats at the snap. Elker or a TE or WR simply has to walk about 4 yards in front of the OL and its a completation+YAC. Rinse and repeat for an OFF willing to take what the DEF is giving.
This was actually the only Bears game in about two years that I didn't watch until the very last snap.
Adding in VJJ and flus (Didn't realize we had 3 choices). VJJ catches that ball and we're close and have momentum. Once again flus didn't have the team ready: Bad game planning, Bad play calling, Too many penalties (even though the refs were only looking one way we shouldn't have made it so easy for them).
I'm still pissed Mooney wasn't allowed to finish his big play and that kmet was whistled stopped after 0.354 seconds while ekeler was getting like 5 seconds while wrapped up.
"While nothing’s more normal than a Bears-focused blogger writing a post about the shortcomings of Chicago’s coaches, last night’s game stood out to me for several reasons:
(1) Matt Eberflus had the opportunity to show that without Justin Fields in the lineup, his vision of a ball-control offense could contend with the NFL’s best teams. Instead, Chicago averaged just 2.9 Yards per Carry and the offense failed to score until the game was nearly out of reach.
(2) Matt Eberflus had the opportunity to show that his defense can slow down & stop one of the NFL’s best young QB talents. Instead, his defense allowed 15 straight completions to open the game, 6.6 yards/play on the Chargers’ first 5 drives, and as easy a 298-yard day through the air as I’ve seen from Chicago’s opponents this season. The defense could barely even compete.
(3) Matt Eberflus had the opportunity to show that his hard coaching style could result in focused, high-yield play in big games. Instead, the Bears took silly penalties early & often (Patrick’s Hands To The Face, Velus’s Fair Catch Interference) and failed to tackle consistently."
This should be Velus Jones last game as well as Patrick. Enough of this and Eberflus already.
I always want to give players the benefit of the doubt. I had hopes for his speed and versility to be used as a gadget all around OFF weapon, but....he can't do it. Its a rough life but time to do.
The whole defense was bad, but he and Edwards were the worst. He can’t cover. He blows tackles.
But don’t worry __ he’s a rookie. He played well against the lowly Raiders, and everything will be fine next year. I don’t care that MP believes that, but Poles might. If he is a starting corner next year, he will single-handededly cost us a game or two.
And, no, I don’t say that about Poles other draft picks.
Little bit of everyone again even though I picked defense today. They were awful from the get go. What was Herbert 15/15 to start the game? Don't think he has a miss until late second quarter. Jones can't get back fast enough. I appreciate Whitehair, but he's Olin Kreutz right now. Past his prime, and constantly being beat.
Yeah, the defense gets the biggest deflated ball. Just when we thought they were turning the corner, they crapped the bed again. It was just like week 1 with zero pressure on the QB and the back 7 playing cover-2 soft zone that any decent QN can pick apart. And Herbert >> Jordan Love so it was all too easy. Chargers could have easily put up a 40-burger on us if they didn't take their foot off the gas.
So much for Flus being a good DC. IDK what this guy brings to the table. Nothing that I can see. He and Getsy can go eff themselves as far as I'm concerned and I won't miss them one bit when they are shown the door on Black Monday. 5-20 is their record--worst in Bears history and the Bears don't exactly have a good history.
Although I'm not quite "full David" yet, Poles is not above some legit criticism here too. His investment in Edmunds and Edwards has not aged well so far. And the Bears once again have one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL. Absolutely terrible. Walker, Yannick, DomRob, and Greene all suck. And his draft picks on the interior (Dexter & Pickens) haven't shown much yet either. It is a pretty bleak picture -- did Poles draft/sign poorly or is Flus not getting much out of what he has?
I went with OL on my 2nd choice. They had 4-5 major fuckups in the 1st two drives which cost us a chance to take an early lead. They stabilized and played much better in the 2nd half but the game was out of reach by then. This team doesn't have the firepower to come back from a 2-score deficit.
3rd deflated ball goes to the refs. They didn't decide the game but they would have if it had been close. Bears got screwed on every call the first half. Took away Mooney's TD, phantom PI call on Tyrique, missed Herbert's grounding, etc., etc.
All in all, a shitty performance with once again Flus/Getsy getting schooled and looking unprepared. Bagent had no chance.
