I guess I misread what you are talking about re edge setting & sack potential for Chase Young with Bears.

I know that. But the clock is ticking on the trade deadline to get Chase or Sweat before the deadline next week.  If you wait until you hire Eberflus replacement,they may be gone somewhere else, which takes me back to my earlier question why Poles doesn’t get the Pro Bowl caliber better players in trade/FA while Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Dolphins get them.  

If they haven’t decided on Flus, then it is not relevant re trade deadline.

Poles thinks he is a genius in the draft. Obviously, he is not. But so long as he believes that, he will resist trading draft picks for players. His modus operandi is to trade his good players for genius draft picks who will play better than the guys he got rid of.  The results are evident.  I am hoping, as JABF expects, he will move up the “learning curve” next year and recognize that he is not any smarter than other GMs and become more inspired to invest draft picks and $$$ to acquire some Pro Bowl caliber players via trade/FA as the successful GMs of other teams have done (Eagles, Chiefs, 49ers, Dolphins). I’m not optimistic.  I want a new GM.

Man, you really need to get over last year's teardown.  That's what EVERY GM does in a teardown.

His draft this year looks promising.  Can we move on?
