What would you rather have?

So any time the Bears start out the fist half of the season with a losing record they should try to tank it for a better draft pick, no matter how talented the team actually is?  Never, ever try to tank a season, ever.  Always try to win or go find yourself a new profession.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. 

To put it simply, I'd rather be the Bears with Floyd than the Jaguars with Ramsey. 

Look at all the high priced bodies they added and the draft they had yet they still cant win. That's because not enough players on that team have a winnnig culture. They dont know how to win games on a week to week basis, and it shows.

I'd much rather my group of young, impressionable players get used to winning and the culture that surrounds it than I would like a top pick. 

I'd rather trend the way of the Packers and Patriots than I would the Jaguars abd Browns, thank you
    

A team that beat us when we were missing our starting QB.

You are completely missing the point. 

The Packers have drafted in the top 5 once in the last 10 years and only twice since the god damn 80's! 

The Patriots are known for their ability to swap players out and not miss a beat, and have drafted in the top 6 once in the 2000's. 

You can claim that they draft well, which does have truth behind it but neither team has had overly outstanding drafts recently. They keep winning because they're programmed to do it, by continually winning. Believe it or not, when you win you teach other players how to win as well. 


Losing is a cancer that takes so much more than a top 3 pick to cure. Yes the Broncos won with a recent top pick, but they also had to go out and fill the roster and pay their dues with a few years of building a winning culture first. Teaching your team, top-to-bottom how to be successful take a lot more than drafting a good player to play one position
