I just thought about this. If the messageboard's biggest QB concern for this year is now down to arguing about the #3 and #4 guys on the depth chart, then that's a good thing, right? Think about it. Cutler is finally gone. We have the #1 QB in this year's draft. Right now it feels pretty good to me.
Hey, Shaw or Sanchez - or - Sanchez and Shaw, at #3 and #4 on the depth chart. It's not that big of a thing to me. Lots to be happy about this year at the QB situation regardless of where these two guys land.
I am assuming you are saying Trub is #2?
I don't think that is the case. He may be talent wise (maybe even #1), but I don't think he will be the first to go in if Glennon goes down.
You're correct, I was thinking Glennon/Trubisky as the top two guys talent-wise, with Trubisky needing time to acclimate to the NFL a bit. And you're right it may not be that way on the depth chart now. If Glennon goes down late in the season then maybe T is #2 on the depth chart also... if they feel he is ready. But earlier in the season it will be Shaw or Sanchez at #2 on the depth chart (I can't imagine it would be Shaw, but I could be wrong on that). That's just my guess. I don't know what the Bears will do.

I think it depends on when in the season that were to occur.

It is even more dependent on how far he is along the learning curve (ie. how ready he is)
Logically, that would be later in the season but not necessarily.
I agree. I also think he ends up being the #2 QB because I think the Bears would want to try and get him some game snaps if certain situations came about. And that if Glennon were injured, depending on the factors mentioned you may or may not see Sanchez on the game day 45.

I could see that too. What I can't see is Shaw in the equation for the regular season. I think he is the odd man out regarding the 2017 Bears final roster. Maybe a season-ending injury to one of the other 3 QBs could change that, but even then, maybe not, depending upon (obviously) what the Bears see in Shaw.
