You're absolutely right! He just should have figured out a way to get the most out of my undersized frame with less than ideal speed. I coulda been a contendah!
ok!
Now we are all in agreement. Back to Fox not being a good coach then.
My work here is never done.... sigh....
LOL...yeah...unfortunately it still comes down to I wasn't good enough, much like a lot of the talent on this team.
Upper Lower 3rd. We used to be middle to lower lower 3rd, but we've gotten more talent the last 2 years thanks to Pace.
I'm with you.. I think Bears is Upper Lower 3rd.. Despite the record, the Bears did play decent and if the FA and Draft decent, then I think next season the Bears will be in the middle.
I've got them in the lower end of the middle third. I see a good amount of talent on this team but there needs to be more. Not only does there need to be more but there needs to be a coaching staff in place that knows how to put them in position to win. There needs to be a good system in place. There needs to be a game plan.
The Patriots are always a prime example. Year after year they have a roster full of guys that are let go of other teams. These are guys that either have personality problems or are considered to not be talented enough. For some reason when they go to the Patriots they seem to play pretty damn good. Having one of the best QBs in NFL history helps a ton but so does having a great coaching staff.
He are some of the best players on the team.
Jordan Howard - Second most rushing yards in the NFL and didn't even play much the fist couple games. Going to the Pro Bowl. Alshon Jeffery - Top 15 WR over his career. Has the talent but needs to be on the field and actually thrown to. Kyle Long - One of the best Gs in the NFL and arguably the best player on the team. Josh Sitton - One of the best Gs in the NFL and going to another Pro Bowl. Cody Whitehair - One of the biggest surprises on the team. Played C better than most veterans in his rookie year. Can play any position on the OL. Jerrell Freeman - Rated as the best ILB in the NFL. Danny Trevathan - Highly rated LB but was injured. Still considered a great LB. Eddie Goldman - One of the better young DL in the NFL. Hakeem Hicks - Had a fantastic season and looks to do it again next season. Leonard Floyd - Performed exactly as a top draft pick is expected to perform. He outperformed almost everyone's expectations.
Those are the best just off the top of my head and there are some other boarder line players that could make that list as well. I think Kevin White could make that list if we actually see him play a full season.
I don't know what to think about Long but definitely wouldn't call him one the best guards in the NFL. I've been reading the scrotum cupping comments for a few years and am still waiting for him to show his dominance. He's had 1 exceptional year - his sophomore year - and three average - above average years with some inconsistencies. Let's hold the roll on that shit. I think he's a good player and all but I'm done with the hyperbole.
