Many called Peyton Manning too old and was a huge concern with injury when the Broncos got him.
Romo still has it.
I don't know how anyone can say Romo is on Cutler's level...
Romo is not Manning, and the Bears aren't that Denver team.
Romo to Denver makes sense btw.
You sure? Both were in rebuilding mode. Broncos took a gamble on Manning. Why shouldn't the Bears? We could use Romo for now and groom our QB behind him.
Who plays in more games next year? Cutler, Romo, Hoyer/Barkley
Who plays in more games over the rest of their careers? Cutler, Romo, Hoyer/Barkley
For a board who considers Jeffery to be an injury prone player and that Cutler is breaking down because he hasn't played 16 games in a few season, I'd like to know what Romo is considered to be.
Jay's last healthy season was 2009. That was a long time ago. Romo's last healthy season was 2012. Better than Jay, but still not too good. Hoyer and Barkley aren't much even if healthy. LOL, this is like asking who is the tallest midget :-)
Since 2009 Romo has started in 88 games while Cutler started in 102.
If all we're looking at is leadership abilities, attitude and past performances then Romo is the favorite. As for going forward and helping the team what benefit does Romo have over Cutler, Hoyer or Barkley?
most of that his highly overblown British, his int % was 2.7 to Cutlers 3.3, Romo's TD% was 5.7 to Cutlers 4.6
Romo's #'s are very close to Drew Bree's, 5.3 to 2.5 and Big Ben, 5.1 and 2.7 and Payton Manning 5.7 and 2.7. Notice a common theme here, int's all under 3 and td's all over 5; neither of which Cutler did.
As for the fumbles, Romo has about 10 less in almost 20 more games played.
That being said, he's to old and injury prone at this point to help this team; and no doubt in his last few years he might have left he doesn't want to be on a rebuild but on a ready to win now team.
This is very misleading. Cutler does have more fumbles than Romo but Cutler has started in 12 more games than Romo. You need to go by games started and not games played. There were 22 games in that are listed as games played that Romo never threw a pass in.
Since Romo wasn't a starter right away they both actually started in the same year, 2006. Cutler has played more games in his career than Romo. Cutler also has 129 more rushing attempts in his career, this does not include sacks though. Cutler was sacked 54 more times than Romo but I'm not sure if that has more to do with QB play or terrible OL. I personally think they hold on to the ball too long and are similar QBs in the pocket so I put more blame on the teams Cutler played on.

I completely agree with this. Leadership-wise there really is no comparison. But physically, I actually think you will get more years out of Cutler than you will Romo.

I don't want any of those guys here. None of them. But that's just me.

Cutler would be the only possibility for me to transition to a new QB. Other than that, none of them should be here next year. However, I expect Hoyer to be our starter next year.
