Football is all about winning. If we plan on winning Romo is the best option out there. We could use Romo as our #1 for 2-3 years while we develop our future QB.

Just two questions:
Who plays in more games next year? Cutler, Romo, Hoyer/Barkley
Who plays in more games over the rest of their careers? Cutler, Romo, Hoyer/Barkley
For a board who considers Jeffery to be an injury prone player and that Cutler is breaking down because he hasn't played 16 games in a few season, I'd like to know what Romo is considered to be.

Jay's last healthy season was 2009. That was a long time ago. Romo's last healthy season was 2012. Better than Jay, but still not too good. Hoyer and Barkley aren't much even if healthy. LOL, this is like asking who is the tallest midget :-)

I can't believe people would want Romo. He is basically an older and more injury prone version of Cutler. He has a strong arm and makes some great throws but holds the ball to long, fumbles too often and crumbles under pressure. Remind anybody of anyone?
most of that his highly overblown British, his int % was 2.7 to Cutlers 3.3, Romo's TD% was 5.7 to Cutlers 4.6
Romo's #'s are very close to Drew Bree's, 5.3 to 2.5 and Big Ben, 5.1 and 2.7 and Payton Manning 5.7 and 2.7. Notice a common theme here, int's all under 3 and td's all over 5; neither of which Cutler did.
As for the fumbles, Romo has about 10 less in almost 20 more games played.
That being said, he's to old and injury prone at this point to help this team; and no doubt in his last few years he might have left he doesn't want to be on a rebuild but on a ready to win now team.
Many called Peyton Manning too old and was a huge concern with injury when the Broncos got him.
Romo still has it.
I don't know how anyone can say Romo is on Cutler's level...
Peyton never missed a game in his career prior to his neck injury. The two are no where close. Further, the majority of his guaranteed money was only available if he passed every test on his neck.
How do you know Romo still has it? He played 1 quarter of football this season and threw 4 passes. Or was it the 4 games he played the year before where he threw more INT's than TD's?

Manning went to a team stacked with talent and still got benched during the SB year. It was painful to watch him that last year. The team won in spite of him, not because of him.
Romo would be coming to a 3-win team. This is not a team with Dallas' talent. Tonight I watched a Dallas game I had recorded. That team is stacked with talent. LOL, I think Romo would have to be drugged to get him to sign with the Bears and join in our crapfests on gamedays. There is zero chance of Romo coming here.
