Did you guys here what they said about Bullard? He wasn't really a fit for what they wanted to do b/c he didn't do it in college but that he's working on it, and that he has some traits you cannot teach that they like.
btw, they are dogging Fox hard. It was reported earlier this AM that whispers are that Fox was flexing his muscle and getting to do things he shouldn't really be doing in HH, and they are drawing that into why he was at the GM end of year presser, and why he felt to jump in to close out answers that weren't directed at him but Pace.
Sounded like they didn't know what they were going to do about qb but they were going to look at everything from FA, trade to the draft. Something they didn't bring up was bringing back anyone already on the team.
This could be an interesting point. If that means Cutler is not in the plans and they want to address everything that means even the QB situation will be looked at through both the draft and FA, or trade. Interesting times ahead.

That's good. Time to move on from Cutler. I can take one more Fox year if we get rid of Cutler.
I wonder will Pace go after Tony Romo and draft our franchise QB 2-4?
Yup, the QB thing is going to be kicked around ad naseum. I can safely predict we will have our regular season QB either from a trade, FA, or the draft. Can get closer than that.

I will bet anyone that if Shaw comes back near 100% he will be back with the Bears next year and I feel he will be one of the main reason the Bears don't pull the trigger early on a QB

I keep saying this, if Shaw comes back a 100% the Bears may keep Hoyle and or Barkley to compete with Shaw for the starter job.
I know personally that Fox is very high on this kid and thinks he will be a top QB in the NFL, the injury has everyone worried.

I've posted and wondered if the QBs on the roster next season would be Hoyer, Shaw and Barkley, with Hoyer and Shaw fighting for starter and Barkley as a very experienced #3. Hoyer and Barkley are unrestricted FAs, it will be interesting to see what market develops for then. Shaw is an exclusive rights FA, meaning team can tender him at the minimum for his experience and he can't negotiate with anyone other than the Bears.
What about that PS QB on the Lions the Bears tried to grab...um....Jake Rudock. Anyone see a future where Pace gives a conditional 6th rounder to the Lions after the draft and claiming that was the plan all along?
Man I need to quit drinking so early in the afternoon. Although it is fun developing these little 0% chance of them happening futures.

I've seen a lot of Jake Rudock since he started at Iowa before transferring to Michigan. He's a brilliant kid with some decent QB skills. I'm not sure if he's talented enough to be a starter in the NFL but he's a pro style QB.
