Can't believe people want McCoy to be hired here...I mean he did only win 5 games this year even with Rivers at QB. I mean injury is no excuse right...just coach up the guys ya got...right? He's a loser who was only successful as an OC because he got to work with Manning. Or does not apply to him? Just trying to learn who all this BS applies to and what not...so far its yes to Fox and no to Fangio, wondering where McCoy fits.
(Yes....I'm being sarcastic again)
I can answer that. He's been part of Fox's mafia since he was in Carolina. But McCoy is the one who actually figured out how to scheme an offense with Tebow save the Broncos season and get them to the playoffs. He only had Manning for one year.
Our QBs are just turnover machines. Hoyer was our best QB this year with a 98.0 QBR and he was afraid to throw deep.
Our #1 WR can't seem to be a gamer changer. Dude is very inconsistent. For one that was once paid 14 million and got only 10 yards against the vikings is pathetic
Our #2 WR is an injury prone WR who most likely will never live up to his pick
Our slot WR is yet another injury prone player who can only play a few games a year then is out the rest of the year.
Our #1 TE seems to be a great player. But is injury prone and getting to the end of his career.
The only WR that seems to be worthy of playing is Cameron Meredith. Dude is leading the Bears with Yards. Let me repeat this, an UDFA is leading the Bears with yards...
Our whole offense needs reworking. Howard and Meredith are the only Bear offensive players who deserve the right to start next year. Excluding O-line...

How do ya' think he got that QBR. Hoyer was playing strictly for his stats not to win games. He's on a one year deal and by keeping his stats looking good he keeps getting a paycheck from someone even if it's as a #2.

The guy is no more and NFL starter than I am.
I think I'll just not comment on the rest.
I agree, Hoyer isn't the answer as well.
We need a QB who can stay consistent, has good reads, and NFL level arm strength.
You could choose not to comment on the rest but that doesn't take away from the point. The point being is this team isn't ready to become a passing team.

My point monsters is that you throw around the term "best" too loosely.
Hoyer was not our best QB. He simply had the highest passer rating. Stats like that don't tell the whole story. You gotta use your eyes and your instincts too.
Yes, that offense does need to be reworked but we have HC who has no offensive acumen at all and a rookie OC who if both are retained doesn't give me any hope much will change.

Actually you don't have to be sarcastic because you're probably right. It really looks like McCoy was only successful as an OC because he got to work with Manning.
14th ranked O, 16th ranked D and yet only 5 wins.
Four years with the Chargers and Rivers under center and a 27-37 record overall. It took Gase just one season to do something McCoy couldn't in four years. 9-23 over the past two years (just like Fox), did you really expect him to be back? No, San Diego did the right thing.
However if you really insist in using that BS injury excuse, Chargers have 23 players on IR, Bears have 21. Chargers won 5 games, Bears 3.
