I put other. This was a team loss. Not ready to play. Then celebrating early. Coaching was typical head scratching moments. OL struggled. Caleb struggled.
You guys realize that Wash never should have even had a shot at a Hail Mary?
We threw an incomplete pass on the goaline with 3 TOs. Assisine play call
If you just run the ball there, there's no time for Wash to get the ball back.
WE HAD 3 TIMEOUTS
unfreakinbelievable
That. And wtf was the defense call on the 15 yard play before the hail Mary? That should never happen either. Total coaching fail. Football 101 stuff and we're clueless.

Yes I fully support the red-faced profanity in the video. You have been warned. He's spot on--Flus sucks and needs to be replaced this offseason. Waldron is another in the long line of failed Bears OCs.

I wasn't able to watch until later but I have so many mixed feelings about this game. First of all, how does the offense come off so flat after a bye. We should have taken a step up and we did not. kudos to Washingstons D. They really kept us off guard. And our D is sneaky good. I mean, never in the game did I feel like I was watching a dominant or smothering defense, like the 85 defense. But yet when it came down to it, the Washington Offense is a top scoring offense and we kept them to mostly field goals. That was an impressive performance. Maybe they don't look dominant, but they sure do get the job done. They are a VERY good defense.
And I am SOOOOO confused about CW. I mean, one minute his accuracy just sucks and the next he is throwing at weird angles and putting it exactly where it needs to be. His consistency is not very good and yet I see traits that are elite. His ability to extend plays..... his command of the field.... (I saw a few times players were open that he could have moved the ball, but mostly he does a great job there). He seems like he is able to read the defense pretty well.
The Ol is still not able to protect him as well as they need to and that is a problem, but then he can make a throw, he misses maybe more than he hits. Yet, when he hits, it is on some really tough throws. I don't get it. The talent is there. And historically, he has been consistent. He isn't though. Not sure what the hell it is.
One thing I do feel confident in saying though, is that I think that a large part if not most of the offensive issues are coaching. Maybe the players love him and he can keep the locker room in a great place, but Flus also needs to win. I'm still not impressed. And I just am confused about a lot of the play calling. Do the coaches feel like the players can't handle more complex plays? Are the coaches not able to call the best plays for the moment? I mean, you see Swift can make the runs. He is not a top back, but he has ability. Most of the time though, he makes little progress. Is it the line? Yeah, it's definitely in the mix, but I just don't think it's the whole answer. Ans Williams missing so many throws.... Is he just not as accurate as I thought he would be? Are the WRs never in the right place? It's not like we have lousy WRs and TEs.... Can it really be them? Is something confusing them? The schemes being called? I am not astute enough to even pretend to know the answer. All I know is what I see. The offense is flat for most of the games unless we play a lousy team. I see elite ability in both WRs and QB. Something is just not connecting the dots.
This should have been a loss with how we played. But then we managed to pull it out in a real team effort for which CW played no small part. And then we manage to lose when you don't even think we have time to lose. Very frustrating

All that time to prepare and everybody, I mean literally everybody on the board knew they would come out flatter than a pancake. This playcalling was been Nagy & Getsy bad. I voted coaching with the Oline a close 2nd. We aren't going to magically get better this season so might as well see how the season plays out. Depending on how everything shakes out we "should" be 6-3 by the time the divisional gauntlet of games starts. The D played well but got gashed on running downs again although they did stuff a few runs. Dexter has lost steam the last couple of games and has not been as dominant but those are growing pains. And we just could not wrap up Daniels on a few 3rd & long with pressure as he escaped, while Caleb was always trapped in the pocket.

Random Thoughts About The Game:
1) The coaching was horrendous. Being dominated on both sides of the ball like that is a sign of coaching. The talent disparity between the two teams is not what was displayed on the field. This team was not prepared for this game at all. Whether it was the allegedly scripted drive to begin with, how both lines got pushed around and looked like they took a two week vacation or the playcalling.
2) The playcalling. Yes this is coaching, but it needs it's own thing. 4th and 1 and they dial up a screen pass to DJ Moore? WR screens never work for us. They've never worked for 30 years. The goal line handoff to the OL on the 1 that was fumbled. All of the options we have on offense: Moore, Allen, Kmet, Odunze and Swift and they go with an OL.
3) In his post game presser Matt Eberflus endorsed the OL handoff play. He thought it was a good idea apparently.
4) The Bend Don't Break "defense" leading up the Hail Mary. This is what I hate about Cover Two coaches. Lovie did this too. They get way too passive and allow huge chunk plays like that to eat up time and it cost us this game. How is it that Eberflus allows the defense to be like that knowing that Daniels is a QB whose bread and butter is the long pass (unlike ours)?
5) Caleb. He cannot throw a deep ball to save his life. Underthrown, overthrown, whatever. He simply cannot do it. This was a problem Mitch had too.
6) Swift is way too inconsistent. Too many runs right into the defender are masked by the big play.
This game really pissed me off and I'm going to stay pissed about it for a while. We came out, totally unprepared and weak, and yet could've won the game but we refused to do so. We LET the Commanders win this game and I'm afraid now the season goes in a totally different direction that it otherwise would have had we won this game.

TMP, to add insult to injury or make matters worse Flus dove headfirst into his canned bag of tricks in the presser and took no responsibility. All we ever get is his canned coach speak like the "I like that we battled back & I'm proud of the guys" diatribe. I'm so over him as a HC. He is just so overmatched and out of his element.

Eberflus has no fire in his belly at all. No emotion. It’s like he’s trying to be friends with the players. He’s not. He’s the boss. He’s in charge.
Leaders also take accountability for when things go bad.
I cannot stand his awwww shucks attitude about everything. That’s how you can tell he’s not a winner. Winners don’t shake off a loss like that.
