"Since 2020 TEs w/2 TD games. There are 4, Kmet is one of them. The most is 7 the minimum is 5(Kelce and Kmet each have 5)."
Name the TE on that list that hasn't been viewed as elite. Kittle, Andrews and Kelce are all seen as elite. If you can be mentioned in the same group of nothing but elite in the position you play, then you have a right to be called elite.
Nothing short sighted or single visioned about that. I'd also point out that of those 3, none had a worse qb situation in from 2020-2023 then Kmet. Feel free to argue.
Vikings are looking really good to great, happy for them, it's about time, they've been largely irrelevant my entire life. The Bears, as bad as they have been, at least have popped in and had a couple runs in that time.
Well, bein a football guy. The best receiving tight end i've ever seen would probably be Kellen Winslow. Assuming you don't know who he is.
I've Acknowledged that the Vikings are the Cubs of the NFL.
But I've never said Kmet was the best. What's the point? I said he's elite, and his numbers are showing it.
Win a SB, wait get to one, then we'll talk. Love it for Minny and Det, finally getting some success, but reg season success w/limited qb's doesn't tend to end well in the post season.
Do I need to watch football for 3 years to know that if the ball hits the ground when the receiver gets it that it doesn't count as a catch or is there maybe like a YouTube to learn that one?
LMK, I can send it to Eberflus.
I imagine you think Flus had the TV overhead view w/replay showing it over and over again. I like how you have to center on one issue a game as proof, as if every other HC never makes mistakes(yes plural). Flus had a ton of issues, hell I didn't even want him hired, but if you don't see enough improvement the issue is you.
and i'm still waiting on all the great coaches that did it w/out just oogles of talent
Watch your smart mouth and don’t ever fucking talk to me like that again.
On the other matter other NFL coaches seem to be handles you know coaching just fine and actually observe the game.

exaclty. b/c none exist. good coaches are made by good players. glad we can agree on it =)
Matt Eberflus doesn’t make Caleb throw the ball well or Kmet get open by three yards. That’s a combo of Caleb / Kmet / Waldron.
Matt Eberflus doesn’t make Dexter pancake half the OL. That’s Dexter.
Matt Eberflus doesn’t make the Crocodile Punter kick the ball 70 yards.
Matt Eberflus needs to add value in the coaching parts of the game. Like noticing when a ball hits the turf but the refs catch it. He has to be observant and add value other than handing out nicknames and being the steward of a bee hive.
For the record, 99.9999% of the time I absolutely love Ric and I look forward to our exchanges on game day. He just gets under my skin sometimes.

I do that to a lot of people TMP, it's why I proposed to my wife, she never seemed to get annoyed w/me. I like everything you state, even if I don't agree with it.
But this is my point. Coaches don't make players, players make coaches. 100% agree w/all of it. Can coaches maximize players yes. can they help develop players yes. But Cutler never reached his potential b/c of him, not the coaches. Forte maxed his potential regardless of coaches. Marhsal was great regardless, ARob was good regardless, Monty was going to be good no matter the coaches. Good to great players always show you what they are, regardless of coaches. Same w/bad ones. Bill Bellicheck, is the best example, failed HC for the Browns(who isn't) HoF HC w/NE when he had Brady, Gronk and all the other pro bowl/all pro players. Then fired when those players aged/out and left. He's the perfect life cycle of coaches.
Cannot state this enough, and maybe it's a difference in expectations, I never wanted Flus, I live in IN he wasn't seen as a loss when he was hired by Chicago and I always felt like this was another HC forced onto a GM by the MC's and HH. But he has never lost the locker room and I 100% do not believe you can have a successful franchise moving through HC's every 3-4 years. I also do not believe if you are only going to hire young inexperienced GM's/HC's you have to let them fail early and look for growth. He's grown imo same w/Poles; and imo while Nagy never grew and only got worse, Pace did show improvement.
As long as Flus keeps growing and getting better I'm going to give him slack, it's year 3 and the first time in 3 years he's had the start of a quality roster and it looks good. Bum slayers as of now, but better then bums being slayed. If the team isn't getting cooked by 20-30 pts come div play i'll continue that. If his team is getting beat like that, I'll reserve my right to shift and jump on your he's garbage train.
yes HC is hard, to expect someone to master it in 3 years, while rebuilding a trash roster and culture is even harder. congrats you've figured it out.

Cmon man. Coaches - even Hall of Fame level coaches like Andy Reid, or Bill Belichick - make mistakes. For that matter every human being on planet earth makes mistakes. The key for GM's, coaches and players is to learn from mistakes and not make too many - have a high batting average of good decisions.
