Ya he's elite, has been, but was hidden by sub par qb play.
Elite. He puts insane pressure on the other DB's as they'll get the bulk of the attention from the QB's and OC's.
Starting to turn it around. Going to be a rough back half of the year, but imo if they fix the OL in the offseason he'll not just have this team fighting for the conference title, he'll have them ready to make a deep playoff run.

If only Matt Eberflus had a franchise QB, three star WRs, an elite TE, a top 5 D and a future HOF punter we could see what an amazing coach he really is!
The one coaching thing he had to do against Jacksonville was challenge that catch and he didn’t do it.

Some of you guys have an interesting one-dimensional way of analyzing football. I mean, the reason Kmet's numbers are good is because the Bears don't have any receivers or the QB can't get the ball to them.Instead, you just think you have one of the best TE's in the league.
I'll look at my team's shortcoming from every angle i can come up with. For Example: I've mentioned the Vikings have only scored 9 second half points in the last two games vs. GB and NY. Kinda disturbing because it was an issue last year as well. BUT, then i look again and guess what? we still won those two games and sittin pretty at 5-0. (those were 3 huge field goals) Definitely in the bonus because we have room for error.
Then comments floated around here over the weeks. You're not sure about the Vikings. You don't think they're that good. Sam Darnold is gonna suck pretty soon. LOL
It's like you're oblivious to what they've done so far 5 games into the season. Defeated the 49ers. Texans, Packers (which is a team the Bears have not beaten in a long time, mind you) Lowest point total given up. Plus doing all this while missing a starting TE and Receiver. TJ Hockinson's probably not ever gonna have multiple td's in a game very often. When you have Justin Jefferson to throw to.

No receivers? That is a shock to Moore, Allen and Odunze. Not to mention Poles

"Since 2020 TEs w/2 TD games. There are 4, Kmet is one of them. The most is 7 the minimum is 5(Kelce and Kmet each have 5)."
Name the TE on that list that hasn't been viewed as elite. Kittle, Andrews and Kelce are all seen as elite. If you can be mentioned in the same group of nothing but elite in the position you play, then you have a right to be called elite.
Nothing short sighted or single visioned about that. I'd also point out that of those 3, none had a worse qb situation in from 2020-2023 then Kmet. Feel free to argue.
Vikings are looking really good to great, happy for them, it's about time, they've been largely irrelevant my entire life. The Bears, as bad as they have been, at least have popped in and had a couple runs in that time.

Crazy to think that good players make good coaches. Name a coach that doesn't need tons of talent to compete; I'll wait.

Eberflus can’t think his way out of a wet paper bag.
The damn ball almost bounced before it got to the receiver.
Even the British knew it and they don’t even play this sport.

yep, and. again do the bears, like many teams, have someone that follows the plays and tells the HC when to challenge? If not that needs to be resolved. if so, it's on that person not the hc.
flus is still in the learning process of being a hc, the Bears don't hire finished or experienced products for their hc, so these are the types of things that are going to happen. Much like players, as he gets more experienced, he gets better. that's what i want.

Maybe if Eberflus would like, you know, WATCH THE GAME, he would've seen that or even on the replay on the screen.
Sorry that being a HC is hard, but if Diane in Customer Service can multitask maybe the HC of the Bears could?

yes HC is hard, to expect someone to master it in 3 years, while rebuilding a trash roster and culture is even harder. congrats you've figured it out.
