You're right and I should let go of it.  I know that.  But you are correct that it was like a traumatic experience that kept repeating itself like that movie "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray - the actor Murray not the Bears OL Murray 

Instead of PTSD they should categorize it as BTSD (Bears).  Okay, I promise to behave now and shut up about it 

Hate to say but Shark is right on the money there.

It's been really hard to be a fan of this franchise for a long time.  We have had maybe 3-4 fun seasons since the turn of the century.

You hit the nail on the head there.  Every situation is somewhat unique.  Brees says young Manning should stay in college for 5 years.  And points out how Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes sat on the bench before starting in the NFL.  I just think the game has changed in recent years - change driven by the big money, (a huge amount of money) at play now.  Do you have a Caleb Williams (or any of the top QB1's drafted) carry a clipboard for 3 years like "back in the day" with Aaron Rodgers?  Caleb will more than likely be knocking down $80 million dollars a year after his rookie deal expires.  You can't piss away 3 years with him sitting in the back of the QB room and carrying a clipboard on game days on the sideline.  Those days are gone now. 

And while I do 100% believe a QB needs to have plenty of college starting experience before the NFL, I don't think 5 years is necessary.  I think you're wasting a year there.  JMO.
