Caleb Williams struggles during early portion of Bears OTA’s

This just triggered another trip for my down Memory Lane.  I don't know how many people on the board remember there was a special game that was the original NFL game to kick ff the current football season.  In 1934, the Chicago Tribune kicked of a charity game that was held just before the start of Training Camp.  It was always held in Soldier Field and featured the reigning NFL champions vs a team of college all-stars.

In the 1975 game, several Bear standouts appeared (Walter Payton, Mike Hartenstine and Virgil Livers).  I went because I had read so much about the Walter Payton guy (he was after all a total nobody at that point).  Here is a video of the entire game.  Only watch it if you are really interested as it is a digital capture from a moderate quality VCR tape (moderate at best).

LOL, because I owned that old Cutlass Supreme back in the day but in a beautiful reddish color.  I love watching those old Bears games as much for watching the old commercials as much as I like watching those old teams play (I like that too of course).  I read that Walter cried after his first NFL game with the Bears.  He felt that bad about his play.  Nowadays social media would go after him like they did Caleb for showing emotion after a bad game.  Meatballs, right?

I'm done with him. He is too inconsistent. First he's good. Then he's bad. Then he's good.
