Caleb Williams struggles during early portion of Bears OTA’s

I'd rather Caleb struggle in OTA's and figure out his mistakes sooner rather than later. As long as the coaching staff actually helps him and gives him a long enough leash to trip and grow from there then he will have a realistic chance to become the player we fans want. The key is letting him screw up and learn from his errors; not yanking him when things hit a bad stretch.

I was just looking at my feed on YT and saw the following video.  I find it very credible because the two dudes talking are former Falcons CB Jalen Collins and former Eagles/Chargers LT King Dunlap. 

IMO the best quote in the video is form Collins, "this is bod god lane, this is the big league, what do you expect?".  And Dunlap is pointing out that the defenses do this to see if the new rookie QB will really help the team.

Kind of an evaluation of the new QB by the defense and a rite of passage, all at the same time.

Wait, I read last week on the Internet that Caleb had been benched after the worst OTA showing in the history of the human race... you mean he's still on the team?

I know.  I have a feeling that our front 7 D guys (this year) are better than a lot of people think.  And the secondary is as good as he will see this season.  I hope that facing this Bears defense all summer long will help him when he faces pressure in the regular season.  No QB is comfortable facing a pressure defense that keeps them under pressure, but maybe he will be able to handle it better if he's had experience facing it all summer long with our D.  I get it, that the training wheels are on right now and he is just getting his feet wet facing an NFL D.  He knows he isn't going to get hammered by our own guys.  But he is hopefully getting a feel for the speed and complexity of a pro D.  My own MSU is that Caleb has a steep learning curve ahead.  Some fans laugh about these predictions of an 8 or 9 win season.  And they could be right... but I'm thinking we could see a rough up-and-down season with that 8.5-win over/under being pretty darned close to what we end up with.
