He's just saying there's not enough time to deal with the state legislature to get anything done this year. Next year will be the real story. But I do also think it will be in AH. Unless the McC's are dumb and stupid. Oh, wait...
With the family, anything is possible. What is the old adage? Something like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

Short but interesting interview tonight during the game. Warren still has the 2025 timeline for breaking ground. Says nothing has changed. If this is so, I am back to leaning towards AH. If they are breaking ground next year, he has a plan. This is not just a "we will continue to negotiate until we have something with someone". He has a date and it is not that far away for a breaking ground date. Lots of stuff has to be planned and in place before then. You don't just do a deal one day and break ground the next.
So he has a plan, and so far one of the options has been telling him that his preferences can not be met.
Is it possible that he is still planning on the Lakefront and that he has been told that the political climate will change next year and he can get a tax bond planned? Sure it's possible. Would a deliberate, methodical thinker be banking on that? I don't think so. Is Warren a deliberate and methodical thinker? I thought he was, but I guess we are going to find out.

He "really likes the lakefront with the architecture and surroundings" or so he says to agitate AH.
Here's an off the wall thought (I know, I'm "thinking" again, and I'm always off the wall, the floor, the bandwagon...) - develop AH as a casino/resort/concert hall/amusement park/parking and tailgate area, and shuttle people to the lakefront stadium and back. Maybe even get Elon Muskrat to dig a new high-speed rail tunnel direct from AH to the stadium. Then they can charge western suburb residents high train fares to get downtown and back fast.
