Bears thought they got their stadium on lakefront

It is a different time now.  This is so toxic for any politician to back this thing in 2024.  LOL that the Bears would even float this thing in an election year.  It defies logic on a number of levels.  The taxes are still being collected on the 2002 Soldier Field renovation.  Taxes have pretty much paid zero on that loan's principle debt burden... just paying the interest on the loan for the past 22 years.


If the family business wants a new stadium then pay for a new stadium.  If you can't afford it, then either stay a renter at SF, or sell the team to someone who can afford the team. 

Agreed.  I don’t want them in SF for the rest of my life.
