If the top-3 WRs are off the board and Joe Alt was still there, would you take him? He'd be a day-1 upgrade over Brax. I like Brax but Alt's floor is higher than Brax's game now... and he'll very probably be a perennial All-Pro for the next decade. I doubt he's there at #9 though.

JABF, I'd love to have him, but no, I would pass. I would rather fill other spots. Like you mentioned, I'd go for a WR if there. If not, I'd go with DT or DE next. Bowers is also intriguing to me. Maybe high for a TE though. Alt would be in the mix for me also because I like him, but The other positions represent larger holes for me.

Big Braxton fan and I think he can improve quite a bit still. That said I would jump at the chance to improve the LT spot wirh a perenial all-pro. Outside of the QB it may be the most important spot on the team, at least the O. I do understand a starting DE or DT is a need though. If no WR/Alt available a trade down allowing us to grab JPJ and WR would be great too.

It would be a tough call for me. The best option is to get a true blue chip player with that pick. QB, DE, OT are all 3 worth that high of a draft pick investment. I'd put those 3 positions in the uppermost part of the top tier for spending a top-10 pick. WR and DT are important but for me they are a tiny bit lower... and what I mean by that is I'd be fine with a WR or DT if they truly were rare talents.

Hell no. I am taking Odunze if possible. If not, I am trading down and trying to get Powers-Johnson. Bears problem is in the middle of the line, not the tackles. I am “meh” on both these centers he brought in.

If you get a true disrupter DT, he is a transformative effect on the D. Not sure any of the DTs rate that high, but maybe so.

Yeah, I wouldn't spend that high of a pick on an interior OL guy. It's just too rich of a cost. But the top tier position-wise (for me anyway) is franchise QB, OT and DE edge guy. Those 3. WR would have to be incredibly special to spend that kind of investment. But in this draft I think we have three guys in this draft that meet that. Joe Alt would be the OL equivalent of a franchise QB acquisition. They are special.

Totally agree with you about that kind of guy. I just figure that high of a draft pick (top 10) should provide a true blue chip talent. By that I mean a guy who is a perennial Pro Bowl guy. Obviously, a lot of those picks don't reach that level. But that is the area of the draft where you are most likely to harvest that kind of guy.
