They are back in the SB this year. Harbaugh left bc it's a pain in the ass to work with and doesn't get along well with others.mich was not a quick turn around. And it wasn't that long ago mich fans were ready to move on.
Took them a while to get back into the Super Bowl but they found another great head coach.
Mich fans are now going to miss him going forward.
Great coach who has not won it all so really by your standards he should be fired.
Harbaugh is known from turning around a franchise quick. He has done it in college and in the NFL. He has the highest win percentage of any active HC. Those are all facts. I understand people don't like Harbaugh because he's a different kind but no one can deny the fact that he is a really good head coach who has turn around every franchise for the better when he was there.
49ers fell apart the moment Harbaugh was gone. He took a below average QB to the Super Bowl. He took Alex Smith to the NFC Championship. Justin Herbert will be Harbaugh best QB he's had in his career. Top with the Chargers having a top 5 pick who most likely go after a WR/TE. Expect the Chargers to be competing with the Chiefs for years to come.
A HoF QB makes good coaches elite. I don't disagree with that. In fact I think a HoF QB is the most important piece to a team. Without them, you won't do much winning. Looking at the Ravens and 49ers... Great Head Coaches but not so great QBs.
He really only did this once at the pro level. So was that on him or the team? I guess we will find out if he is batting 100 in the NFL.
3 AFC Championship games in back to back to back years and a Super Bowl visit? What happen once he left. The following years? York wanted all the power.
Hmmm If the Bears are the only team he wants to coach for in the NFL and will stay in Mich. if he can't then I guess he is staying in Michigan.
Things change throughout the months. But he wanted to come here. Ownership cheapen out and didn't want to pay another HC to sit on his couch for the next few years while a real one is coaching.

maybe but acting like SF wouldn't have struggled w/Harbaugh after the SB is ignoring the poor performances of SB teams that lose; outside of a few outliers. And while Mich fans might miss him now, it's again revisionist history to act like it was always wine and roses w/him there.

They literally went back to the NFC Championship game after their Super Bowl lost. Losing to one of the best defenses in the NFL at the time.
After that? Who knows, what we do know are facts. He has the highest winning percentage out of all active coaches.
