LOL.... Sorry. Rare is a post from me that is not sarcastic, but I actually think that based on the first half of last year, that bringing in a guy that could also handle being a HC is a smart idea. The GMs usually have a plan A through Z so would not be surprised if this had crossed his mind. I actually would consider it smart for him to have given this some thought. Do I think it was his primary motivator? No. But smart to have it as a consideration IMO

I just don't see that because if he's firing Flus that means the whole season went badly. The only way he would keep Waldron around is if the losses were entirely on the defense and the offense was great. An unlikely possibility if the season went so badly that you fired the HC.

Context matters here I think. JSN was not happy that he was not used more his rookie 2023 season. Nothing more or less than that coloring his reaction there.
