Yes, that board (years ago) was the CBMB. LOL, I was a much younger man back then... even had some hair left on my head back then too. I remember mightyjoeyoung there and I liked his posts. LOL, it was a "wild west" kind of board though. There was an old codger there called 63BearsFan or something like that who was a character. Dude would get everyone riled up with his "theories" about winning. I wasn't too bright because I never could figure out what the old geezer was trying to say with that theory. I pictured him as an elderly dude hammering on a keyboard in a nursing home somewhere. Now I am damned near that old :-)

Was that the "Dominant Unit Theory" guy?

The poster I remember the most was some guy named Spartan. He absolutely hated Cutler, and took every opportunity to take a shot at him or insult him. Like Cutler ran over his cat or something. His most infamous post was when Cutler got hurt in 2011 after a 7-3 start, giving Caleb Hanie the start. Spartan's topic read something like "Don't expect much offensive drop off after Cutler's injury" or something to that effect. We of course lost the next 5 games and ended up 8-8 due to some of the worst QB play ever (which is saying something with this franchise). JA basically lost his job over that mess.

Yep, Chicago Bears Message Board. Cheap ass McCaskeys didn't pay their forum moderators, and so we had some doozies who were power drunk back then, but also what got the boards shut down was someone going ham and posting porn all over it, which is when it was ended - and I think that turd still posts on CCS (chicitysports).

Posting porn? Sounds like we might have given him a shot at DC last season

The Internet is full of other places where folks can go to argue and hate and post the porn... whatever. Here we try to present a different experience.

And the posters here are pretty darned knowledgeable about football. I like that a lot.

Whoever said I know anything about football is even dumber than I am, and that's a very low bar! I never got my MSU diploma cuz' I failed the class, so I MSU'd my own. Since the degree was worth about as much as toilet paper, that's what I drew it on. It went missing shortly thereafter. I think my wife used it and flushed it.

I was never on CBMB, but I found my way over to DaBears, and when that went to pot Alex started this one up by invitation for the best of the best of the best of DaBears, sir! So we are really a fairly tight knit group of survivors. At least from DaBears and some from CBMB also. We've grown since then, but we enjoy a small population where everyone pretty well knows everyone else. No trolls, no porn, no drugs, no politics, etc. Just Da Bears, crying about Da Bears, and poking fun at Da Bears.
