Anyone finding they're warming to the Bears drafting Caleb?

Thats not true...I've shown you how its not true countless times...why you feel the need to beat a horse to death even after its been buried and decomposed is beyond me.

ok, we differ there. The stats just show the facts. Not the reason for the facts. Until you burrow down and find the reasons, you can't say what it is. And I'm not saying it is not him. I am saying you need to look at the cause and I see some other causes so I believe they are part of the problem. Again, more than one thing can be true. Those other issues AS WELL as JF could be the problem. But if you don't remove those issues, you don't know. You can just make a best guess. And those guesses will vary.

As far as good players putting up good stats on a bad team..... they will put up better stats than a bad player, but I have seen both Rogers and Brady look like crap when they were getting beat up. Yeah, they probably were doing better than a crappy player, but they sure didn't look good. And when that was happening, you could look at those stats and thing those guys were garbage. But there were reasons why it happened. I see good physical ability with JF, I see him getting better and I think he can succeed.
  Note that I said "I think" that does not make my statement a definitive proclamation. I don't know. Until the situation presents itself, you don't know. Would I pass on Williams because I THINK JF will succeed? No, I don't think I would even at the price of building out the team. If I could, I would actually keep both and sit Williams for a year. Not going to happen. Not even in an alternate reality, but that lets Williams learn (although his ego may not like that) and you let JF take the lumps, and possibly grow. The problem with that plan is you don't see what Williams can do. This is what teams that develop their QBs do, but again, I am not sure how they know they have a good QB when they sit and learn. You only know when you know (they play). But I never have liked taking a new QB and playing him right away. No matter their talent

If JF plays well, you get more for him. Of course if he doesn't then you don't but you develop Williams and that should pay dividends. Run him through our envied QB development machine.

Freaking Gestsy!

 Caleb and Fields both have that "holding the ball" problem.  Watch the film.  Hopefully Shane Waldron can help Caleb in that area like he helped Geno.  But don't think you're getting a guy in Caleb who doesn't do the same thing as Fields.  I've watched film on Caleb until my eyeballs are about to drop out - he looks like Fields in some ways.  He is going to need some good coaching.  The raw talent is there, but he also has some rough areas to his game - like Fields.  The one positive I do see in Caleb, where he looks significantly better than Fields is that he sure seems to process the game faster.  I do believe Trubisky and Fields both had a hard time processing mentally on plays.  Caleb seems to do so at an elite level.  But the "holding the ball" thing is a problem with Caleb Williams too... there are times in those games where he has an open WR and he does a Justin Fields imitation and makes plays with his feet.  The recent Kurt Warner film breakdown on Caleb was pretty objective about his faults (a bit brutal at times).  Caleb needs work at the next level, but hopefully the Bears present coaching staff can help him develop.
