Bears Expect Good Coordinator Candidates Coming in Droves

Our contract was to install and setup the support group for a huge back-office software product at Blue Cross of Montana. It ended up being mostly a Mon-Fri travel project and I would fly in Sunday night and Fly back Friday morning (or Saturday if we had a lot of issues to resolve).  When we did the cut over to the new system (after year end closing in early January), I spent three straight weeks there.

The beauty of the area is beyond description.  My temporary coworkers would take me out to some of the most unusual places to eat.  One was in an old mining ghost town up in the hills.  They had gutted the inside of some sort of ore processing building and it was wide open.  The kitchen area was open to the dining room, and they had large open fire pits everywhere.  The cooks would make enormous steaks on an open cook fire.  Another place was built on a mountainside slope overlooking one of the lakes on the Missouri River.  The dining room was built in a series of levels that went down the slope like huge steps and the room had large windows thAT gave you the most breathtaking view I have ever seen.

An old college classmate of mine ended up running the computer science curriculum and the University of Regina.  I visited him there one June shortly after school let out.  I really liked t there.  But after talking to him and some of the other teachers there, I wouldn't want to visit in the winter.

An update for this morning.  We are currently -23^o C and a wind chill of -34^o C.  I can hardly wait for what it does after the sun goes down!!
