Article claims that they know the Bears are down to two players at the 9 position. I do like both of them, but I claim bullshit and say that whatever the Bears are doing, it has not left HH

I halfway thought some team would hav announced a trade by now but eels like everyone is keeping thei powder dry. I still think there will be a few trades before the actual start. Any guesses. Watch CHGO pod from yesterday. It's really good.

Guest guy (forget who but well known) said something I agree with:
Worst case scenario for us is that Alt and the 3 WRs are gone and no one is calling at #9 wanting to trade up.

There's no defense guy really worth the #9 pick. Only special ones are Turner and Latu. Turner looks like a 3-4 guy and isn't good against the run so not a great fit for Flus' D and Latu has serious medical concerns.

Frankly, if Alt and Rome are gone, I'm most interested in Fautanu, Olu, or Bowers.

Sounds like Washington is staying at 2 and picking a QB. Not a real surprise, but confirms #2 being a QB. The next 6 picks are the question.

BIH, thanks for posting these things for us. I know it must get tiresome for folks to just see my stuff most of the time posted here. I'm hoping we can all pitch in and keep this going until the preseason begins... when there will be more exciting things happening.

LOL though, I keep looking up these guys they've recently signed because I've never heard of them. Sad to admit they don't look too generational to me

The one guy I was instantly intrigued with is DE Jamree Kromah. He played 3 years at Rutgers and prior to the 2023 season transferred to James Madison University. He was a member of a high performing small school defense at JMU. 59 total tackles (solo + assists), 19.5 TFL and 10 sacks. He has freakish athletic skills (see attached RAS score sheet).

I am sure he could jump out of a pool.

His draft profile scouting report (LINK) mentions he could end up being a 3-Tech DL. It also says: "He’s muscular with very long arms and might have the frame for additional weight to bump inside."

Maybe the Bears see him as a project 3-T guy.
