Almost 10 o'clock (Peru time) and no one has been fired yet. SMH.
Did you see the post by butkus3595 in the thread on Poles won't make the decision on firing Flus? It seems that since Flus would still be paid under terms of his contract, it is at the Warren/McCaskey family level.
That's true for EVERY coach that gets fired. Nothing new here.

Let's hope so. With the family history of valuing personal income over team performance, I can't help but worry about it. I am referencing potential ancient history of Mike McCaskey and the Bears teams in the late 80s.
I have a feeling we're stuck with Flus. Maybe even Getsy. I think Fields is gone, but that may not actual happen until close to the draft, since Poles will want to hear all the offers for the 1st pick before finalizing his decision.
Harbaugh is pipe dream from what I can tell. But I guess anything is possible.
I think Fields fate is tied to Eberflus. If one stays they both stay. No way are they allowing Fields a 3rd HC and no way are they allowing Eberflus his pick of QB.
Most of the time, that is the way it works. And I hate it. The QB should be evaluated on his merits. His growth and his weaknesses. A decision to let him go or keep him should be based on that. Period. Not who brought him in or who he played under

I'm saying that coaches contracts are always guaranteed. If fired before their term is up, they still get paid. Always been this way.
I'm NOT saying that the owners don't make stupid decisions to keep guys cuz they don't want to pay 2 salaries. I'll bet that happens a lot with George and co. Remember January 2020 when they touted "collaboration" as why they kept Pace & Nagy?
That was a money decision only. No sane manager could possibly have thought that those two clowns were gonna turn things around in one year with Andy Dalton.
