Offseason #1 - House-cleaning and possible new coaches

Is it just me or is anyone else just absolutely to their limit of Flush's vomit inducing pressers?
He never admits responsibility and sugar coats everything, just awful. "We battled", "We doubled our win total", blah blah blah.
Dude you blew chunks when it mattered and got constantly outcoached.

They can't interview them until next week anyway...so being the first to request isn't the largest of deals IMO.

Been thinking about this a lot.

I'm afraid what they SHOULD do and what they WILL do are two different things.  Maybe Warren will put his stamp on things and stop the madness of the Bears old ways, we will see.  Until I see it, I am not confident.  

What they should do is:
Recognize how badly things went this year and don't gloss over it.  In August, the expectations were that Fields would take a big step forward and we would leapfrog Green Bay (Fields > Love) and Minnesota (who got really lucky last year).  The opposite has happened.  Fields improved but not very much and Love has proven to be way better than expected.  We have the worst coaching staff and worst QB in the division yet again, which is a big reason why we are 2-10 vs the NFCN under Flutsy.  

Recognize how dangerous the moment is.  The Bears are about to buried at/near the bottom of the division for another decade if they don't take bold action right now.  Love just threw for 4000 yards and 31 TDs with his best receiver (Watson) hurt most of the season and a bunch of rookies playing.  He's only gonna get better.  Fields struggles to get much past 1/2 of Love's production.  He throws for about 160 yards/game on average and the offense still has long stretches of time where it scores only one or even ZERO TDs.  The score yesterday was far closer then the game itself.  When Getsy & Fields get past the scripted plays early (he opened 9 of 10), the pass O goes immediately to shit.  Both these guys are particularly shit in the 4th Q.  Yet again, yesterday Fields got the ball in the 4th Q in a one-score game and again failed to deliver a score to tie the game or take the lead.

Bottom line:
I'm fed up with BOTH Getsy and Fields and both need to go.  And the idea of keeping Flus while swapping out just one or both of the others is sooooooo stupid that only the Bears org could fathom doing it.  That would leave a lame-duck HC Flus (it would be playoffs or fired in 2024) tied to a new OC and new QB -- the exact failed formula of mismatches they have done so many times before.  

Which is why I suspect that is exactly what they are going to do.  Prepare to watch Love "own" the Bears for the next 10-15 years cuz that's exactly where this is heading.


What they SHOULD do:
Fire Flutsy now.  Do whatever bullshit nonsense you have to to comply with the stupid Rooney Rule*.  Have a cursory "interview" with Bienemy if you have to.  Hire Harbaugh this week and let him decide on the OC and on Fields.  I suspect he will want a new QB to mold so give it to him.  Fields has had 3 years and almost 40 games to show he's the guy and hasn't.  As Hoge said, if you still don't have the answer on Fields, then that is your answer --> he isn't the guy.  Even though yesterdays crapfest offensively was not his fault, I'm tired of watching him struggle to throw for 150 yards when guys like Love and CJ Stroud, both 1st year starters, are putting up 4000 yards in a season.

CLEAN HOUSE NOW or be left in Green Bay's dust for the next decade.  

That is what's at stake.

Mr. Warren, your moment has arrived.  DO SOMETHING BOLD.



*BTW, the Bears have a black QB, GM, President, and Asst GM (Cunningham).  Holding a perfunctory token interview with a black HC candidate is a waste of time.  Harbaugh is the obvious guy for the job.  Its so self-evident a blind man could see it.  

You are ignoring the fact that the Bears have made exactly that same dumb mistake many times before.
