If I am Ryan Poles, todays playoff game between GB & Dallas only solidifies and reinforces my inclination to draft Caleb and trade Fields.
Fully admit I was wrong about Love. He's legit good in year 1 and only going to improve going forward.
Bears are about to buried at/near the bottom of the division for the next 15 years YET AGAIN because they can't keep pace at QB. We need better than we have. Way better. Gotta take a shot at an elite prospect with #1 pick.
Watching Love play is depressing. Yet another superstar QB in GB. Ridiculous
This makes it even more frustrating how the Bears can't get anything right.

Yep. How they went from trading for Favre, to drafting Rodgers and then Love is simply amazing. I wish the Bears had the same scouting dept. as Green Bay.
They see stuff we apparently don't.
Scouting and QB development. They seem to have both

They also don't hire rookie defensive HCs to oversee newly drafted QBs. And they make 5th round TEs & WRs look good, even in year 1.
We draft Kevin White, Anthony Miller, Adam Shaheen, Velus Jones, and Tyler Scott.
Obviously today's game is a blowout and GB may lose next weekend but the overall point remains: Bears have the 4th best QB in the division, Love outplayed Fields this year by a wide margin, and the same emerging patterns we saw previously with Favre and Rodgers are obvious to the casual observer again.
Ryan Poles, you gotta make a major move and swing for the fences here or you will be left in the dust. Trying to salvage Fields in year 4 and win going forward playing David's football strategy from 1978 is not a wise plan.

It’s not 1978. It’s Eagles 2022 with 3,700 passing yards. That’s about 300 more than Fields per game rate this year with Getsy, no Harrison, and Patrick at center.

Green Bay understands how to develop an offense - and especially QB1's. I am so hoping the Bears bring in a great set of offense coaches now to replace Getsy and his guys who were released. That's the key I think as we move forward in 2024. Add some key upgrade players on offense and a solid coaching staff there and 2024 should be a very solid team.
I love that the division is returning to relevancy. The Bears are ascending the last half of this 1st year of the rebuild. We beat this Lions team just weeks ago and played Green Bay better than Dallas did today. Yes we lost that last game by 8 points and it was a huge disappointment. But the Bears are in an incredible draft and FA situation and will add some great pieces in this year-2 of the rebuild. The key is to get this offense coach hire right this time. If that happens then 2024 is going to be special for the Bears. We can beat the Lions (just did) and I don't see the Packers as being beyond the teams' ability to overcome in 2024 - again, if the team gets this offense right. And that is SO doable this second year in the rebuild. Huge difference between 2023 coming off a tank year and having 30 new/young players. Totally different situation and a much better situation.
I would love to see the Lions make it to the super bowl this year.

I am not as worried about the Lions as much as I am Green Bay. Love had really made their offense click. They are the real deal
