A few positive thoughts about where the Bears are at now.

I was scanning for analysis videos on YouTube and found something on Gervon Dexter. Interesting to see how he has been developing his technique over the season.

Hopefully this pays off with increased productivity next season.

In fairness we also have seen the 3 years of mistakes and failures all around the QB1's here. While we should not make excuses for Justin Fields, we should be intelligent enough to understand that there are a lot of contributing factors that are a part of this. I get it that a lot of folks want to boil down and over-simplify situations that may (just may) be more complex than they want to believe. If we look at stats alone it may not tell the entire story here. The meatball always look at it and just want people cut and fired everywhere... LOL. It usually doesn't end well there does it?  I keep thinking of how the Browns got rid of Belichick.  And Atlanta dumped Brett Farve (Falcons gave up on him).  There are countless stories where just firing a guy or drafting a new QB just didn't help the situation.  We've cycled through a small army QB1's, over 40 failed starters over the years.  Maybe we could change this outcome by building an offense to truly support a QB1.  

I thought Josh Lucas did a good job of summarizing Field’s issues as a QB. We are seeing many of the same things in year-3 as we saw in year-1. My counter-argument is that he has proven that the Bears can beat the LIONS even BEFORE adding the coming upgrades to the offense. So why the hell roll the dice with a rookie QB?  Lucas concedes in the end that Poles will keep Fields, unless he is blown away by Williams or Maye.  

Wrong. I will be delighted if, with Harrison, center, better coaching, the Bears are Super Bowl ready by 2025.  In that case, I don’t care if Williams goes to the HOF with some other team.  I just want ONE more Super Bowl before I am dead.  We know what we have with Fields — the good, the bad, and the ugly.  We don’t really know for sure what we’re getting with a rookie.
