Lions beat Bears - who gets the deflated ball?

Random Thoughts

(1) That run-run-incomplete pass-punt was purely on Getsy IMO. He took the ball out of Fields hand and run it right into the teeth of the DEF with all its timeouts and the 2 minute warning. Then the shot down field was Getsy thinking....they won't be expecting a long pass, lets chuck it deep. Despite all that if Scott hadn't stopped running he catches it in stride and scores standing up. Soooo many Bears WRs have stopped running on long pass this season.

(2) Its the hot take to bang on Fields for not changing the play, but depending on formation and personnel he might not have had that option. It isn't a question of they don't let him or they don't trust him, he had Kmet/Tonyon/Lewis/Blasingame/Herbert in there (just guessing here). What possible pass play he is audibling to? Claiming he should have audibled is like saying that the DEF Capt should have changed the playcalls E-flus was sending in. I'm not arguing this with anyone, its pure speculation on everyone's part, including mine.

(3) Why can't the Bears get a play call in on time? Getsy? Fields? Players subbing in late? Why do Bears plays look so ugly? Design? Players?

(4) I believe E-Flus told Getsy to call those runs. No turnovers, minimal lost yardage...just seemed like a sequence forced by a conversative DEF minded HC. They needed to run their normal OFF there, roll out Fields, move the pocket, spread RPOs....don't don't run HB Dive twice. TWICE!!!!! Against a DEF expecting it with 3 TO and the 2 minute warning.

I admit it is possible.  That would be even more damning on Getsy's scheme if it's a unkillable play.

But...Bagent changed the play multiple times when he played as a UDFA rookie from a tiny school.  I find it hard to believe that Fields wouldn't have this authority.

Hey, I'm just a dumb fan but even I was screaming at my TV that Detroit was selling out to stop the run and packing the box.  IT WAS OBVIOUS.

Zero creativity and zero killer instinct there by the coaching staff and Fields should have changed both those calls at the line.
