when they got the ball back and needed to burn clock, running the ball out of the packed formation is always a waste of a play (I'm being overly dramatic here of course.) Because in setting up in those formations you take Fields away as a runner, because the DEs can play Fields on the handoff while the DT/NT/LBs/S crash the running lanes. I'm always a proponent of spreading teams out on the LOS. If you want to play the blocking TE fine but use Tonyon outside the numbers, make a defender go with him. Threaten the outside with Mooney or Scott on a vertical. Clear out that middle behind the LOS with WRs/TE and then run the ball or let Fields run the ball. Even more critical (or just as critical) when the other team has 3 TOs and the 2-minute warning is to get a first down. Getsy gave them no chance.
1st Deflated Ball: GETSY Turtle up play calling late in the game gave it away. The man is incompetent at running an offense.
2nd DB: FIELDS Dude, you need to audible to a pass when they have 9 men in the box TWICE. You're not a rookie anymore. Nice job running the ball but still threw for under 200 yards with a critical sack-fumble.
3rd DB: JAYLON JOHNSON Dropped a pick-6 and got dusted for a 4th Q TD that put them back in the game.

I have the feeling that in Getsy's OFF, when he goes end game running package, there aren't any pass plays built off of those formations. I'd need to see who was in the game at that point. At min there was Kmet and Tonyon, a FB and a RB. + Lewis (the blocking TE). Were there any WRs on the field?
Its why I hate the bunched formations with everyone lined up on the line.
